5 Minute Valentine's Day Hearts

Writer's picture: thehankshomeblogthehankshomeblog

This DIY is so simple and quick and makes for the perfect little touch to any decor. These little hearts are so cute and it was so easy to make them. It really did only take 5 minutes and that was with me taking pictures of them. So let's start.

The supplies you'll need:

  • Tin Foil

  • Hot Glue Gun

  • String

  • Scissors

  • Tooth Picks

First, you lay out the tin foil and let your hot glue gun warm up. Once the glue is hot, then you will make a heart shape on the tin foil. The glue cools fast so these next steps happen quickly.

Next, you will take your string and place it up the middle of the heart and wrap it around to make half of the heart shape. Use the tooth pick to help place the string on the hot glue. It will save your fingers from getting burned.

Once you have done half of the heart, then you will continue and wrap the string around the rest of the heart. You might need to add more hot glue if it has cooled and the string isn't sticking. Once all of the glue is covered, then just cut the excess string. Simple! Just repeat these steps for as many hearts as you want.

After they are all cooled off, then you peel them off the tin foil.

Next, you can keep them like this and glue them on frames or scrapbooks or you can glue the tooth picks on the back like I did.

And thats it! You can use them however your creative mind leads you. I put them on candles to tie in the Valentine's theme.

I hope you enjoyed this 5 Minute project! Tag me on Instagram @thehankshome if you make your cute little Valentine's Hearts. I'd love to see what you do.
